The National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of NATAS successfully hosted 6 virtual journalism seminars for Face Time with the Pros in early March of 2021.

The Capital Emmy Chapter has been hosting Face Time with the Pros for nearly two decades in the Washington, DC region. For the first time, Face Time with the Pros opened up to a national audience after COVID-19 caused the event to go virtual.

Participants included students from across the country: Maryland, Montana, Utah, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, New Jersey, Minnesota, Missouri, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Iowa, South Dakota, North Carolina, New York, Florida, and Washington, DC.

Journalists who are in the first stages of their careers also chimed in with questions on the news industry’s direction. A host of experts and moderators who are seasoned journalists donated their time and expertise to the Face Time with the Pros mission.
